Marlys was a longtime member of the Church of Christ. She loved singing, playing piano, cello and guitar. Marlys sang with Sweet Adelines and was a very good landscape and portrait artist using oil, acrylic, pastel and watercolor. She and her husband, Phil, had a lot of fun ballroom dancing and Mom started tap dancing in her 70’s. Mom and Dad traveled to China, Africa, Europe, Alaska and all over the United States and Canada. Their favorite place in the world was their log cabin at Emma Lake, SK. Mom was a spunky woman who was eager to try new things and loved to sport many types of hats. She slipped away peacefully on October 7, 2019. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
