Date of passing: January 17, 2020 at the age of 65
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Corey Lee Pollock born at Melfort, SK September 10, 1954. He is predeceased by parents Donald and Ethel Pollock and sister Audrey (Al) Thornton.  He leaves behind wife, Liliane; sister, Donna (Orville) Dahl; brothers, Barry (Ellen) Pollock and Kerry (Marlene) Pollock; children and grandchildren; Geoffrey (Rebecca – Jackson, Grayson, and Eli), Lisa (Corey - Danny) and Michael (Ashleigh).    Following high school graduation from MUCC Melfort in 1972, a young go getter, Corey went on to work at the Thompson MB nickel mine before entering the University of Saskatchewan College of Engineering Physics program in 1974 where he was the first person to ever achieve 100% in an engineering physics class.  Following 3-semesters at the U of S, Corey pursued his interests in the aviation field while working with relatives before ultimately registering for Transport Canada’s Flight Service Specialist (FSS) program in 1979.  While at the Transport Canada Training Institute in Cornwall, ON. he met his wife Liliane where they went on to have their three children.   Throughout Corey’s career as an FSS with Transport/NAV Canada and Weather Observer/Air Craft Communicator at ATS Services, he relocated to many places across Canada including Churchill, MB., Saskatoon SK., Baker Lake, NU., Moose Jaw, SK., Lynn Lake, MB., Windsor, ON., Fort Nelson, BC., Lloydminster, AB., Hall Beach, NU. and finishing his career in Wrigley, NWT.  Corey always kept his roots in Saskatchewan where he was born and raised and chose to have his children raised.   He was very proud of his children and grandchildren and always took the time to call friends and relatives to share stories about them.   He enjoyed travelling with his family, taking his children to their activities and for 7-11 Slurpee’s, and sharing his interests in aviation, physics and electrical technology.   He will be deeply missed.   A funeral service will be held Friday January 24, 2020 at 11:00am at St. Anne’s Parish in Saskatoon, SK.    In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and/or Canadian Mental Health Association.
