It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Nathan John McMillan at 20 years of age in Saskatoon, SK. He passed away tragically and unexpectedly on November 6th, 2020.

Nathan left to mourn his mother, Rhonda McMillan and dad, Alan Maxfield; brothers, Ryan McMillan(Maria) and Zachary McMillan; grandma, Rachel McMillan; uncle, John McMillan(Donna); nephews, Marcos and Jordyn; as well as many aunties, uncles and cousins.

Nathan was born in Saskatoon, SK. at Royal University Hospital. He attended elementary school at St. Maria Goretti School and then E.D. Feehan Catholic High School until he graduated. School was Nathan’s greatest accomplishment. He had many learning difficulties but never let that discourage him, it just encouraged him to work harder towards his goals and he did it with determination and dedication; graduating in 2018 so proud of himself.

Nathan was loved greatly by his nephews, Marcos and JJ. They were his world. No shopping trip would go by where he didn't have something in the cart for it either one of them; a toy, clothes, or some junk food. Nathan was so looking forward to the arrival of his niece in December. He was asked to be the Godfather to Lucy, but now Godfather has a whole different meaning.

Nathan loved sports in high school. He joined every sports team they had and whether he made the team or not, he did his best and was always at the game to cheer on his school.

Nathan loved God and his Church. The Rock Church and all of the Ministries were not just a pastime for Nathan, it was part of his life. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Sunday and any other time that he could Nathan would be at the church serving. The kids were so important to him, as was all of his church family. We all knew that if somebody needed help Nathan would be there no matter the job.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Celebration of Nathan’s Life will be held privately, but the family invites you to join the livestream on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at www.trcyxe.ca.

There will also be a celebration of Nathan's life next summer when we can have a NATHAN sized party.

In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Nathan's name to The Rock Church Youth and Children’s Outreach Programs (www.trcyxe.ca).
