Obituary of Eric Michael Krueger

On Wednesday November 25, Eric Krueger, beloved husband, father, and brother passed away peacefully at the age of 57 after a short but hard fought battle with lung cancer.

Eric was born on March 12, 1963 in Moose Jaw SK to parents Norman and Doris Krueger, the youngest of five children. Eric grew up in Esterhazy SK till he moved to a farm outside of Churchbridge SK when his mother remarried.
Eric meet Yvonne Mann in 1985 and married a year later in 1986 that same year he started welding and joined Boilermakers Local 555. Eric loved welding but his dependency on coffee forced him to move to a career as a Welding Inspector. A lifelong learner he was always interested in taking more training to further his career, although he hated the testing.

Eric’s love for his family was evident in everything he did, he loved when his family was together the most.  His favorite place was the run-down cabin purchased in 2005 with a 5-year plan to fix it up; in typical Eric fashion it is 15 years later, and it’s still not completely finished. Eric also enjoyed travelling and spent many wonderful weeks in Punta Cana, Jamaica and cruising the Mediterranean, but his most treasured memory was the Disney Princess Cruise with the Granddaughters.

A seemingly serious demeanor hid a quirky and mischievous side and gave him the upper hand in all his practical jokes, those who knew him knew that he loved a good joke and always went the extra mile to make a prank even funnier.
Eric was predeceased by his parents Norman and Doris, stepfather Ted Magnusson, in-laws Victor and Dianna Mann and brother in law Patrick Christopher. He is survived by his wife Yvonne, daughter Amanda Guldiman (Adam), son Michael Krueger. Sisters Darlene Christopher and Debbie Krueger and brothers Gary Krueger and Dennis Krueger (Cindy) and Granddaughters Emily and Mackenzie Guldiman.  Brother-in-law Glen Mann, chosen family Samantha (Brad) Broeckel and Ingrid and his nephews; Dustin (Megan) and Scott, and niece Brittany (Cole), great niece Nola and great Nephew August.

The family would like to send their gratitude to the staff and doctors at St. Paul’s palliative care unit, who helped make Eric’s final days more comfortable. The family would also like to thank everyone for the love and support you have shown us.

The family has decided to wait to have a celebration of life at a later time when we can gather together again.
