The family of Regina Stefaniuk is sad to announce her passing on April 9, 2021. Reg was born in 1927 to Mike and Maria Zabachenski where she grew up on a mixed farm in the Alvena district. While being employed at a general store in Alvena she met a customer by the name of Mike Stefaniuk. They got a acquainted, they dated and in 1952 they got married. Soon after Mike and Reg became owner operators of a bulk fuel station general store in the Hamlet of Carpenter, SK. While managing the store she also raised 5 kids. Some years later the family moved to Saskatoon. Reg loved family gatherings her favourite time of season was Christmas and Easter. Combined with her passion for cooking and baking, these occasions were ideal for her and she loved it. The multi course meals that she prepared was standard procedure and always well worth the wait. She loved preparing homemade Ukrainian food and served it at every opportunity. We will always remember the raisin easter bread she use to bake. The only problem was you had to wait a whole year to get more of it, she would only bake it at Easter no matter how much you asked for it. When it came to family there was no hiding it no denying it she absolutely adored her grandchildren. In her eyes the grandkids could do no wrong. As they grew older and older she supported them in their endeavours and cheered their success. She was a very proud grandmother.
