Obituary of Beverly Kuss

Beverly “Bev” Kuss

July 28th, 1954- Oct 19th 2022

Bev passed away as peacefully and gracefully as she lived. Taking her last breath, surrounded by her loving husband and family.

Bev was born in Russell MB & raised on a farm outside of Churchbridge Sk. where she completed her grade 12 then married and moved to Saskatoon where she remained until passing.

Bev was a young and devoted mother first and foremost. She was extremely close and treasured her three children: Raquel Millikin (Dave Pfuetzner) of Kelowna, BC, Tammy Lazar (Sebastian Aicher) of Saskatoon, SK, and Chris (Bev) Lazar of Martensville Sk. She cherished every moment she had with them. She especially loved her role as grandma to her 14 beautiful grandchildren. Sophia, Jack, London, Jonny, Rachel (Mike), Samara, Presly (Dylan), Annadora, Maya, Isabelle, Carson and Tristan.

Bev returned to school as a single mother in 1989 receiving an honors diploma in Travel. She carried on to have a successful career as a travel agent for over 33 years. Bev always had the best work ethic which allowed her to utilize her benefits to see the world. Travel was one of her greatest passions and she loved to make and share memories with her family and loyal clients.

In 1988 Bev met her loving husband Bryan Kuss of Saskatoon SK, and they married in 2003. Bev and Bryan shared the love of simple pleasures such as an extra hot coffee, dessert with the right amount of crunch, long walks, gardening, and a good book. Together they travelled to many places all around the world, with a special love for Europe.

Bev shared her passion for cooking by bringing friends and family together to enjoy what she lovingly prepared. Extra special attention was always given to her incredible desserts.

Predeceased by her parents Daweld (Dave) Stehr, Alma (Henry) Stumph, father-in-law Donald Kuss and sister-in-law Deborah Warkentin.

Survived and loved by her 5 siblings Garry (Catherine), Joy, Barney (Pirkko), Keith (Sandra), Donna (Bill). Also a great loss to her extended family, Mother-in-law Adele Kuss, Doug (Candy), Barbara (Brian), Denis, David (Jacqui), Daryl, Theresa (Brian), Robin (Lily), and families.

Bev lived life to the fullest, she led by example, modelling loyalty, trust, integrity, strength, forgiveness and a hard days work. She showed us that the little things in life can bring you the most pleasure and whatever you do find joy and happiness in it. She had a vivacious personality and always made people feel welcome with her warm smile.

Bev was a blessing to those who knew her and will be forever loved and missed.

You can shed tears that she is gone
Or you can smile because she has lived

You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left

Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her
Or you can be full of the love that you shared

You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday

You can remember her and only that she is gone
Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on

You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what she would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
