Obituary of Bertin Francis Boechler

It is with profound sadness to share that Bert passed away on January 11, 2023.  His loving wife, soul mate, and best friend Janet was by his side.

Bert was born on November 7, 1962, and grew up in Allan, SK.  He cherished his family more than anything as they were his priority in life.  He had a passion for many outdoors activities including fishing, quadding, camping and any family road trips they went on. He enjoyed a long career in servicing and installing water treatment equipment for both commercial and residential.

Bert will be missed and is survived by:  his wife Janet (nee Schmidt); his siblings and their spouses Diane Kotschorek; Joyce Bittman; Betty (Ray) Boehm; Bryan (Betty) Boechler; Anita (Gary) Holtorf; Vivian (Len) Boehm; Brent (Linda) Boechler; Barry (Mary) Boechler; Cindy (Charles) Haas; Brad (Bonnie) Boechler, along with his in-laws Jim (Lorraine) Schmidt; Philip Schmidt; and Laurie (Ed) Hickman along with many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his pride and joy…his son Brandon Boechler.  His parents Annette and Charles Boechler and his brother-in-law, Lawrence Kotschorek.  In addition, his father and mother in-law Joseph & Hilda Schmidt; brothers in law Steven Schmidt, Harold Schmidt, Richard Schmidt; his sisters in-law Patricia Jennison and Ricarda Schmidt and nephew Allen Schmidt.

A service to celebrate Bert will be held on Feb. 4, 2023 at 11:30 in the Our Lady of Lourdes, Catholic Church (1235 12 Street East, Saskatoon).  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider making a charitable donation to the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Canada or the Canadian Liver Foundation in honour of Bert’s memory
