I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad and regret not being able to attend his service. After watching it on the streaming service many memories that you “kids” so beautifully shared rekindled the many times I got to interact with your Dad while living in Gladmere Park. After loosing my Dad a couple of years ago I still find myself thinking that I should give him a call and see what his thoughts are on the subject. I’m sure you all will be communicating with your Dad as he was part of so much in all of your lives.

Dear Jim and family,
Very saddened to hear of your Dad’s passing. Great memories, where do I begin. Your Mom and Dad were two of the finest people I ever had the pleasure of knowing. Anytime I got a chance to chat with your Dad it was always loaded with laughter. At the end of the day, all we have left is memories. I’m very grateful for the amazing memories of both your Mom and Dad. God bless.

A very significant portion of my growing up years was spent staying with Uncle Bob and Aunt Betty and my cousins over several summers. I was an only child and always wanted to have brothers and sisters. (My mom was Aunt Betty’s sister. And my dad was an American, so I grew up in Seattle.)
It was heaven for me to stay with the Taman family. Uncle Bob and Aunt Betty were so wonderful. They made me feel like I was part of their family. It was such a good feeling. We had so much fun and I have so many priceless memories.
And then, fast forward ~50 years. Debi and I reconnected which has been wonderful. And through her, I also got to reconnect with Uncle Bob. These last few years have meant so much to me. And then, just a few weeks ago, Debi was sitting with her dad in the hospital and we exchanged some messages. And then Uncle Bob asked her to say hi to me. That meant so much. Thank you for everything Uncle Bob! Love and appreciation,
Your niece,
Cathy

Very sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. Prayers go to the Taman family. Bob was always a great man to visit with. He was a wonderful contributor to our community in Asquith, as was Betty. Had the pleasure of some recent visits at Parkville; same great guy as always. He will be missed by many. Perhaps he & Les have a Heavenly Elks club to get to work at

I always remember uncle Bob as a stern but very reasonable uncle. Always thought he had a big soft heart and dearly cared about us all. I always enjoyed talking Black Hawk hockey with him and a bit about senior curling which I enjoy myself now. Condolences to all of your Families! Take care always ❤️

I was very saddened to hear of the passing of Bob. I first met Bob about seven years ago when I started working at Parkville Manor, From the very first I was struck by his charismatic and kind personality. He had a way of making people feel at ease always willing to lend a ear or share a good laugh.
Bob’s love For his family was apparent to anyone who knew him. It was clear they meant everything to him.
He truly was a gentleman in every sense of the word and I feel privileged to have known him.
Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time.
I know he will be deeply missed by many people whose lives he touched.
