Granddaughter Janelle has written:

. . . we lost our shining star. The one with sparkling eyes and sheer resilience, raw opinions and honest truths, a flair for fashion and fierce love for family, and a house full of great food and greater friends, who laughed till she cried and made sure we joined. Love you forever Grandma.
