Raymond Baudais
August 25, 1947 - December 12, 2023

Raymond Baudais passed away unexpectedly on December 12 in Domremy, SK at the age of 76.

Raymond will be loved and missed by his surviving: sons, daughters-in-law and grandchildren:

Tanner, Tracy (née Stucky) and Sarah
Tod, Nathalie (née Denis) and Liam
Brent, Amanda (née Piesinger), Bailey and Addison
Brother, Denis, his wife Joan and their children, Michael and Brian and their families;
and Brother-in-law, Dane Wilson, and his children, Mark and Alanna.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Colleen (Domremy), and his parents, Gustave Jean (Domremy) and Henriette Marguerite (St. Brieux).

Raymond was born on August 25, 1947 in Wakaw, SK. He married Colleen Baudais (née Wilson) in 1975 and adopted her son Tanner. The couple welcomed Tod in 1977 and Brent in 1978.  Raymond returned to Domremy, SK to take over the family farm in 1977. In the winter months Raymond managed the Minatinas ski area for 10 years. When he retired from farming, he continued as a farmhand for several years.

His children will remember him for his generosity, resourcefulness, and skills. He was a perfectionist so they really appreciated having his help on various projects, knowing that it would be done right the first time!

Raymond was a very talented and creative person. He offered his time, help, and home to many friends over the years. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed many summers at his seasonal lot in loop 4 at Ramsay Bay Campground at Weyakwin Lake. He loved annual ski trips with family and was thrilled to make a few runs a day last winter. Raymond always had to stay busy whether it was working on a car, fixing equipment, wine making, or building picnic tables.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 18th at St. Jeanne D’Arc Roman Catholic Church in Domremy, SK.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
