Obituary of Roberta Marisi

Surrounded by love, Roberta Marisi passed away peacefully in her home on January 4, 2024. She is survived by her daughters Patti and Catherine, her son James, granddaughter Lily Campbell, sister-in-law Adele Kuss and family, and Doug Campbell.

Roberta was born in Regina on May 24, 1936, the youngest child of Ernie and Lillian Kuss. They moved to Saskatoon when she was six; where she spent the remainder of her life.

Roberta was a proud graduate of the St. Paul’s Hospital School of Nursing in 1957. She continued on with a long and fulfilling career of giving at St. Paul’s Hospital. She retired from working in 1998 and left with many lifelong friendships.

In her middle years, Roberta had an opportunity to learn to ski which led to her joining the Canadian Ski Patrol. She took her emergency nursing skills from the hospital to the ski hill. She very much enjoyed her many ski trips with her new ski friends.

After retirement, Roberta enjoyed a renewed youth sharing in many adventures with her family and her much cherished granddaughter Lily. New experiences like whitewater rafting, zip lining, and many nature hikes became her summer activities. She also looked forward to her summer trips in the mountains.

Inspired by her mother, Roberta spread her passion for gardening and landscaping wherever she could find real estate. Her creative touch still radiates in her handiworks.

Loss of a mother can never be replaced, but the love a mother can never be lost.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 10th, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. from Holy Spirit Parish (114 Kingsmere Place, Saskatoon).
