Raymond Hedman

Obituary of Raymond John Hedman

With heavy hearts the family of Raymond Hedman announce his passing on March 30, 2024. Raymond is survived by wife Jeanette; daughters Mona (Warren), Carla (Brad), and Leigh Ann; grandchildren Zachari, Axtyn, Jaeden, Madyx, and Mikka. Also left to mourn his passing are sister Joyce; brother-in-laws Mike and George; sister-in-laws Marcy and Grace; and numerous extended family members and friends.

Raymond spent his life in Perdue and the surrounding area. Over the years he farmed, worked for CP Rail, operated a corral cleaning business, and, in later years, took care of the Perdue landfill, the curling rink, and the cemetery.

He was a private man who loved his family deeply. Nothing gave him a greater sense of pride than hearing about his children and grandchildren’s accomplishments. We’ll all miss his quiet presence in our lives, hearing him laugh himself out of breath and catching us off-guard with his creative cursing.

Raymond was predeceased by parents John and Violet; grandson Easton; sister Arlene; nephews Johnnie, Lance, and Michael; niece Debbie C.; sister-in-laws Carla, Irene, Gloria, Linda, and Rita; brother-in-laws Gordon, Bill, Dan, John, Delbert, and Richard.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Biggar Diamond Lodge for their care and compassion over the last month.

At Raymond’s request there will be no service. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the Biggar Diamond Lodge or the charity of your choice.
