Vaughan spent much of his childhood growing up in Bonnyville, Alberta, and later relocating with his family to Saskatchewan in 1986.

Over the years, outside of school or development programs, Vaughan enjoyed family time with his parents and sisters.  This included Sunday night swimming; camping and visiting with relatives throughout BC and Saskatchewan in the summer months; or simply going for a car ride for a change in scenery.  If the car ride included a stop for a hamburger, this was an added bonus for him.  Vaughan truly enjoyed the simplest of things in life, and as a child he took great comfort in listening to music while hugging his favorite stuffed animal, or simply giggling under a ray of sunshine.

As a young adult, Vaughan’s family expanded as he settled into life at Luther Homes.  Here, Vaughan and the boys, and his care family, enjoyed many laughs and experiences.  Together, they were very active, and Vaughan continued enjoying swimming, visiting the Forestry Farm, taking in various events throughout Saskatoon, and spending time with family coming into Saskatoon for a visit.

Vaughan attended Cosmo Industries where he spent his weekdays contributing and learning new skills.  And, over the years, he was even spotted on TV, as he was on stage or in the audience of the Kinsmen Foundation Telemiracle.

Vaughan was a kind soul with an infectious laugh that lit up the room.  He left us unexpectedly and is already dearly missed by those of us who were blessed to have him in our lives.

Vaughan is survived by his mother, Barbara and Ralph Lapointe; his father, Carmen (Donna) Proznick; his sisters, Vanessa (Karl), Vivian (Denis) and Valora (Kevin); and many other family and friends.
