Obituary of Lillian Crawford

CRAWFORD, Lillian May 1924 – 2016 Lillian (Lil) Crawford passed away peacefully on August 28, 2016 at the age of 92 years. She lived an active life, enjoying time with family and friends. She loved to travel whenever she could. She also was drawn to give back to the community, particularly as a volunteer at Third Avenue United Church and for 35 years at City Hospital. Lillian was predeceased by her husband, Dick, in 1974, her brother, Dick Boulter, and her parents. She is survived by her children, Sandy (Ann), Judy Hannah (Dave) and Sheila Jongmans (Jeff). She loved her six grandchildren, Colleen Beausoleil (Drew), Elisse Hannah, Alayne Crawford (Chris White), Paul Jongmans, Kaiti Hannah and Lindsey Jongmans and also her first great-grandchild, Alexandre Beausoleil. The family would like to express their great appreciation to all the staff at The Franklin for their dedication and kindness over the last 5 years and to the staff of Daily Living for their special care in the last few months, especially for their compassionate care in her last hours. A celebration of Lillian’s life will be held at Third Avenue United Church (304 – 3rd Avenue North) on Saturday, September 3 at 1pm. Following the service, a reception will be held in the basement of the church
