Obituary of Ann Rutherford

Ann Rutherford - nee Berezowski. January 5, 1930(Sheho, SK) to October 15, 2016(Calgary, AB), formally of Saskatoon SK. It is with heavy hearts that the family announces Mom’s(Baba’s) peaceful passing in Calgary, AB. Mom(Baba) leaves to morn her 4 children and their families. Ron Rutherford(Yvette), David Rutherford(Jacky), Debbie Rutherford Peters(Paul), Joann Rutherford Bailey(Kevin). Her 12 Grandchildren, Michelle(Jake), Solonge(Craig), Jeanine(Mike), Jeremy(Michelle), Kimberlee(Dan), Kinsie, Cole, Cassandra, Kelsea, Brendan, Tracy and Derek. Baba’s 19 beautiful great grandchildren. Her brother Walter Berezowski and family, sister Marge(William)Dumanski and family. She leaves to mourn and celebrate her life numerous other relatives and friends. She is predeceased by the love of her life Joe on October 24, 2002. Brother George Berezowski, sister Gladys Maas. Father(Gido) William Berezowski, mother Katie Cheropita Berezowski, step mother Lena Berezowski and many more that were dear to her heart. Mom was born in Sheho, SK and later moved to Saskatoon where she married Joe(Gid). She moved to Calgary, AB in 2013 to begin another journey. She will be missed by many. A day did not go by in her home at Walden Agecare in Calgary that we were not stopped in the hallway “I know Ann, it’s that smile”. She will always be remembered for the love of her family. Respect of friends that had no problem calling her “Mom” or “Baba”. Known also for her love for cooking, music, dancing, wisdom, camping, mushroom picking, gardening, fishing for sharks, great control of a broom, bingo and large parties with lots of food. She touched a lot of hearts that crossed her path. The family wants to give a special thanks to Walden Heights Agecare in Calgary for the caregiving that mom received along her journey. A very special hug and thanks to Tracy Good Modeste for the care, love and support of mom(and us) from the very beginning of her journey in Calgary. You are one in a million, family, you are love. Funeral

Funeral service will be held on Saturday October 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., at the Saskatoon Funeral Home, 338 fourth Avenue North Saskatoon SK. A light lunch will follow, please bring pictures and share memories.
