Obituary of Gwendolyn Camm

It is with saddened hearts we say good-bye to Gwen “Gwendolyn Violet Camm” at Saskatoon Extendicare Preston, Gwen would have been 99 years old in December. She was born December 19, 1917 to Edward and Louisa Rosher at the family homestead near Colonsay, SK. She is survived by her son (Les) Mary and daughter Maxine (Robert) Procyshyn, grandchildren Darren (Giselle) Camm, Jacquelyn Durant and Roberta (Chad) Dyck, great-grandchildren Tyler Camm, Jade Sutton, Landon Sutton, Koen Dyck and Jonas Dyck and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by husband Jack in 1992, son Glenn in 1975 and sisters-in-law Kay and Marg. Also predeceased by all of her brothers and sisters and their spouses. Grace (Bill) Lutz, Frank (Edna) Rosher, Anne (Jim) Gray, Eddie (Verna) Rosher, Arthur Rosher, Ada (John) Drobot, Muriel (Art) Vigeant, Hilda (John) Folk and Les (Isabelle) Rosher. Gwen was a school teacher, farmer’s wife, life member of Rebekah Lodge, Elstow United Church, participated in many community events, 4-H, Red Cross, pianist for wedding and family get togethers. She knit so many quilts and afghans for family and friends out of the goodness of her heart. She was a good listener and did a lot of work behind the scenes. Gwen loved to dance, play cards, visiting with family, family was very important to her. In her memory, memorial donations may be made to the Colonsay United Church.

Funeral

There will be a Celebration of her life on Friday, November 25, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
