Obituary of Edward Nels Englund

It is with great sadness to announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Edward surrounded by family at Royal university hospital on Tuesday, November 22, 2016. Ed was born on December 21, 1939 in Kelliher, Sk. to parents Eric and Grace Englund and brother Rod. Ed was a man of many trades, grew up constructing grain elevators, concrete and landscaping. Ed and Chris met and settled in Saskatoon where they raised their family, as well as grandkids Wade & Donna as their own. Ed had many passions which included gardening, curling, watching sports and spending time with the great grandchildren. Ed had a huge heart, an amazing sense of humor and was very generous. After the passing of his wife, Ed spent most of his time at Barrier Lake, fishing, boating, road trips, and enjoying life to the fullest. Ed was predeceased by his wife Christine, parents Eric and Grace Englund, and grandson Brandon. Left to mourn his passing is his brother Rod Englund, daughters Irene (Mark), Silvia (Al) and Donna (Anthony) and sons Clifford and Wade (Sarah) as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family would like the send their deepest gratitude to the staff at RUH. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the heart and stroke foundation or the cancer society.

Funeral

The Memorial Service will be Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Saskatoon Funeral Home at 10:30 am.
