Obituary of Lily Hattie Hilderman

It is with deep sorrow the family mourns the passing of their dear Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Lily was born in Forget, Sk. and grew up on a farm near Benson, Sk. She attended a one room country school for her early education. She then went to Luther College and Normal School in Regina for the next 3 years. After getting married to Albert, teaching for 6 years in Rhein Sk.and Federhil School and raising a family, Lily went to the U of S and received her B Ed with distinction at the young age of 50. She taught at Wilson School in Saskatoon until she retired in 1983. She relocated to Hector Trout Manor where she made many friends and resided until 2009, then to Luther Tower and Prairie Springs Care Home. In October 2016 she moved to Salmon Arm BC to live with her son Bill(Bev) Hilderman until her passing. Lily is survived by 3 sons – Lloyd(Bernice) Hilderman of Sherwood Park AB, grandchildren Trevor of Port Coquitlam and Melissa (Jason) Boisvert of Sherwood Park AB, Garth(Nancy) Hilderman of Kaslo BC and Bill(Bev) Hilderman of Salmon Arm BC, grandchild Keely(Dirk) Migchels of Calgary AB. as well as 5 great-grandchildren Connor and Lacey Boisvert, Wyatt, Elizabeth and Sydney Migchels and sister Anne Wilhelm of Estevan as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her good friend Charley Carlston, husband Albert, parents Gustav and Amelia Mittelsted, brother Walter(Joan) Mittelsted, sisters Martha(Eric) Duke, Olga(Eric) Shea, Dora(Rudy) Stubel and brother-in-law John Wilhelm.– In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of choice.

Funeral

The Funeral will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Saskatoon Funeral Home, 338 4th Ave. N beginning at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1502 2nd Ave. N.
