Obituary of Clillard Radke

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Clillard A. Radke, at home, on February 10, 2017, at age 81. Clillard was born on May 15, 1935, in the Guernsey District to Walter and Vera Radke. He was one of 16 children. He met his soulmate, Norma, and they married March 20, 1965. Clillard was a man of many talents. He worked at the planer and the pipelines; he scaled mountains and worked at the Department of Highways. He was a skilled carpenter. Clillard was employed as a machinist/welder with Saskatoon Transit until his retirement. Above all else, Clillard loved his family. He cherished the time spent with them while laughing and making memories. He was a happy fisherman, whether catching salmon off the coast of Vancouver Island, or jackfish at Weyakwin Lake with family. Left to treasure his memory are his loving wife of fifty one years, Norma; daughter Cheryl (Wayne) Harnett; son Darren(Amy) Radke; grandchildren Katrina, Ross and Marysa, and great granddaughters, Reese and Sydney. He is also survived by brothers Gilbert (Evelyn), Earl (Jackie), Bill (Bev), Jim (Marie), Mervin (Darlene), Dennis (Lena), and sister Darlene (Lloyd) Rahn, as well as numerous inlaws, nieces, nephews and cousins. Clillard was predeceased by his parents and siblings Clinton, Gordon, Isabel, Marquis, Fred, Betty, Glen and Larry. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
