Obituary of Clarence Munchinsky

Clarence George Munchinsky October 8, 1950 – February 25, 2017 Clarence passed away peacefully surrounded by family at St. Paul’s Hospital, Palliative Care on February 25, 2017, after a year and a half battle with cancer. Clarence was born on October 8, 1950 in Milden, SK to the late Milton and Georgina Munchinsky. In 1959 his family moved to Saskatoon where Clarence lived and raised his family. Clarence will be greatly missed by his loving family, his wife Faye of 44 years, and his children: daughter Melissa (Ross McVicar), grandson Lucas McVicar, and son Chad (Kay); his siblings Ken (Norma), Ernie (Francie), Myron, Dot (Craig Oleksuik), brothers-in-law Don Bazansky (Elaine) and Ken Stewart; Vangi Munchinsky; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces; along with many friends. He is predeceased by his sister, Flo Stewart. Clarence was a dedicated and loving family man. He enjoyed sports, especially hockey; having season tickets to the Saskatoon Blades. He also loved his annual fishing trips with friends and family. He was an optimistic man with a good sense of humor and easy going attitude. Clarence worked in Real Estate and then Property Management for three decades, owning his own Property Management company. Clarence was a founding and active member of the 7:22 Breakfast Club.

Funeral

A funeral service will be held Friday, March 3rd, at 2pm at the Saskatoon Funeral Home. The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff at the Saskatoon Cancer Centre, all of the Home Care nurses and the nurses, doctors and staff at St. Paul’s Hospital, Palliative Care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Saskatoon Cancer Centre or St. Paul’s Hospital Palliative Care Unit
