Obituary of Edna Herman

Edna Herman (Zwer) 1926 – 2017 Edna passed away peacefully on May 27, 2017. Born in Belbutte, Sk. on May 2, 1926. She married Hugo Herman on November 30, 1945. Hugo and Edna farmed in the Belbutte district until 1953, when they moved to Rabbit Lake, where they continued to farm near Meeting Lake. In 1973 they moved to Saskatoon where Edna worked for Williams Catering, cleaning houses and babysitting for many years. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, crocheting, knitting and spending time with her family especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents, Juliana and Sam Zwer, husband Hugo Herman, daughter Irene Herman, sisters; Freda Renz, Elsie Lutze, Alena Rupps, Hilda Lunzman and brother Ernie Zwer. Edna is survived by her daughters; Doreen (Doug) Lamb, Shirley (Derek) Kloeble, eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one sister, Ida McGuire as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial donations in Edna’s memory can be made to Augustana Lutheran Church, St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation or to a charity of choice.

Funeral

The Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 2, 2017 at Augustana Lutheran Church, 1201 Broadway Ave, beginning at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place prior to the service at 11:00 a.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery. Those wishing to attend the cemetery service can meet at the cemetery entrance gates at 10:45 a.m.
