Aleta Belton-Waldner

Obituary of Aleta Belton-Waldner

Aleta Belton-Waldner Aleta passed away peacefully on June 24 at St Paul's Hospital. Aleta was born in Saskatoon on March 31, 1954 to Wilfred and Florence Belton. She grew up in Sutherland which she thought was a great place to be from. She went to Sutherland elementary school and Evan Hardy high school. She was a vivacious child always keeping busy in some activity. She took baton, ballet, tap dancing and really liked Irish dancing. She enjoyed going to explorers and CGIT at St. Pauls United church. She loved to swim, she taught swimming and also learned to scuba dive. This all leading to her becoming a lifeguard and this is where she met Glen Waldner whom she married in 1972. They had a beautiful daughter Samara Christina. Even though Aleta and Glen later divorced they always stayed friends until his passing on January 29, 1996. She was an avid reader. She spent many hours knitting and crocheting creating numerous afghans that her friends and family now treasure. We wish to thank the very professional, caring personnel in the Saskatoon, St Paul's palliative care unit and her many friends for making Aleta’s last days as good as they could possibly be. Aleta worked at the ldylwyld medical center for many years and it was the best job she ever had (her words). She was predeceased by her father Wilfred and her ex-husband Glen. She leaves behind her daughter Samara; her mother Florence; her brother Roger (Denise) Riley, Ryan, Marja (Jeff) Emily and Thomas; numerous relatives and friends.
