Obituary of Gregory James Brash

It is with sadness that the family announces the sudden death of Greg Brash occurred on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Royal University Hospital. Greg is survived by his wife Wilma Brash, three sons; Cole, Clay, and Chad and Chad’s wife Lori, her children and their families; and the boys mom Darlene; two brothers, Ron (Shirley Bonner) and Terry (Donna), two sisters Sharon Coulter and Val Simpson and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was predeceased by his parents Marie and Richard Brash, brother Keith, brothers-in-law Don Coulter and Bob Coulter and sister-in-law Marlene Brash. Greg was born in Wynyard, SK and the family moved to Saskatoon when he was 8 years old. He attended Victoria Elementary School, Nutana Collegiate and the Saskatoon Technical Institute. Greg worked at the B.A. Service Station and Westfair Foods prior to partnership in Crest Craft, following which he joined the sales team at Brennan Educational Supplies and recently finished his sales career retiring from Total Independence Plus. Greg and Darlene were married for over 19 years and through those wonderful years they had three sons together Chad, Clay and Cole. It was 24 years ago that Greg married Wilma Niska, starting an exiting and fulfilling new chapter in his life that included family, extended family, in-laws and many new adventures. Greg led a very active community and family life. He coached hockey for his brothers-in-law and all his sons. He was a dedicated member of the Saskatoon Kinsmen Club and served in most all club positions, including vice-president and Deputy Governor, working tirelessly on all club projects, including numerous Telemiracle committees and the Kinsmen National Convention. He served on the Broadway Improvement District Council, the Saskatchewan Motorcycle Touring Club, President of the Saskatoon Antique Car Club and was a proud member of the Western Development Museum. A few of Greg’ favourite pastimes included researching and working on his antique cars, wood working, camping and travelling, motorcycle trips and R-V'ing, but all will remember his fondness and love for his cherished four legged friends: first Cully and now Dixie and Trixie. Greg always looked forward to and enjoyed gatherings with family, in-laws past and present, and his many good friends. He was a very supportive and loving father, husband, brother and friend who will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving family, friends and associates.
