Obituary of Eva Martens

Eva Martens August 29, 1923 - July 28, 2017 Eva passed away peacefully at the age of 93 years at St Ann’s Nursing Home. She is survived by her daughter, Terry Luce; son, Bob (Pat) Martens; daughter, Rose (Don) West and son, Len (Gwen) Martens; 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Eva was predeceased by her husband, John Martens; 3 brothers and 7 sisters. Eva was a caring and compassionate mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved visiting with family and friends. She was highly valued for her work ethic from a very early age. She spent many hours as a young girl working as a mother's helper for many families. As a young adult she worked in some cafes in Saskatoon then moved on to become a nurse's aide at the Saskatoon Sanitarium. Mom will be fondly remembered for her sweet nature and sense of humor. We are deeply grateful to St. Ann’s Nursing Home for their excellent care where she was loved by all the staff. We also want to thank her daughter-in-law Pat Martens for the special attention and care she gave momma bear during her busy workday.
