Clifford E. Allin 1919 - 2017 Clifford E. Allin passed away peacefully on Saturday August 5, 2017 at the age of 98. Together for 72 years of marriage with his wife Dollina he will be lovingly remembered by his children: Vaughan, Fay, Don, Tom, Gwyn and their spouses, numerous grand children and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews .He was predeceased by his parents W.R. Allin and Adeline, his siblings Ruby, Merle and Keith. Clifford was born in Watrous Saskatchewan on March 12,1919 and grew up on the farm through the Great Depression. He served in the RCAF during the war as a wireless operator stationed in Summerside P.E.I. During his stint in the RCAF he met, in Montreal, Dollina whom he fell in love with and married. After the war Cliff and Dollina moved back to Saskatchewan where he began his teaching career. He taught in Kilmory, was the principal in Alsask and at Westcliffe Composite High School in Marengo. He was a well respected educator who was proud of his service to hundreds of students, their families and his communities in general. Many students will recall his silent Hush Puppy shoes in the hallways. After retiring in 1974 Clifford and Dollina moved to Saskatoon where he continued his woodworking hobby and was active in the Mayfair United Church for many years. As a hockey fan Cliff enjoyed Blades games at the "old barn" and the new rink with Dollina. Summers at Manitou Beach are memorable because of his campfire prowess, playing a tune on the guitar or harmonica or reciting his favorite stories and poems. The family wish to thank the care given to Cliff at the Villa Royalle ICH and the staff at Porteous Lodge for getting Cliff reunited with his wife Dollina in his final 2 weeks. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
