Craig Vance

Obituary of Craig Vance

We are saddened to announce the passing of Craig at RUH on Saturday October 28th, surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with leukemia. Left to mourn are his wife Kathy; his sons, Eric(Kristina) and Todd, as well as his sister, Lynn(Phil); brothers, Ross (Wendy) and Alan along with all his extended family . Craig enjoyed all sports and cheered for the Habs, Blue Jays, Raptors and his beloved Minnesota Vikings. He was able to attend many NFL Games and baseball games across North America during his travels, always with family in tow. But he also cherished watching the games at home over the years with one of his many different cats on his lap. He was an accomplished 5 pin bowler representing Saskatoon in many provincial and national competitions. He loved golf and played many memorable rounds as a member of the Saskatoon golf and country club, he loved playing with his sons and his regular Wednesday and weekend men’s groups. He had a passion for music and along with Kathy took in over 150 different concerts across Canada and USA ranging from Rolling Stones in Chicago to Todd Rundgren at the old Saskatoon arena. He enjoyed and was skilled at building things and spent countless hours on endless renovations around the house always striving for perfection. Mostly he was a great family man who would do anything for his kids and supported them however he could. His love for Kathy, his high school sweetheart and his wife of 35 years was unwavering and her love for him is forevermore. We would like to thank all the doctors and nurses in the RUH BMT unit for their care and kindness.
